For the fifth consecutive year and coinciding with our fifth anniversary, we return to participate in the Madrid architecture festival, Madrid Open House.

This year El Invernadero, our headquarters, will host this architecture exhibition by one of the most prolific studios of the moment. We join CLK architects study to claim singularity and innovation as fundamental characteristics in our work processes.

“From Drawing to Reality” displays a year of work by this young study founded by the architect Joaquín Vaquero,  showing some of their national and international projects.

A common desire to highlight architectures and iconic designs in unique environments.

“From Drawing to Reality”

“It all begins with a need based on requirements and conditions. This situation unleashes a creative impulse that must maintain the balance between functional rationality and artistic drive. This combination of strengths does not always result in the perfect solution. However, the emotion to see a sketch come true, a gesture turned into a built mass, an intuition transformed into a work of art with reason of necessity is a dream that has moved architects since immemorial times”. Joaquín Vaquero. CLK architects founding partner.

This project, “From Drawing to Reality”, develops the concept and evolution of the architectural creative process within El Invernadero, an already usual space at the Open House Madrid festival and one of the favorites in the city’s most unique events.

As a complement to the “One Year of Work” exhibition that will take place on Friday, September the 27th and Saturday, September the 28th, the studio will do an installation in the building’s courtyard. “From Drawing to Reality” aims to complement and explain the complexity and sometimes the immediacy with which a simple sketch can become an architectural work.

CLK architects Studio & Village Contemporary Community visits

During this exhibition you can visit the Village Coworking, which joins this action for the first time by opening its doors to show the corners of this antique residence palace of the Marquises of Casa Jiménez, a unique space adapted to new contemporary needs, becoming a benchmark for Communication and design companies.
